Ante is a publication. That is the whole product.

Ante writes in English about crypto and onchain games: how the rules actually run, what players can verify, how randomness is (and is not) constructed, and where a game stops being a game and starts being a wager.

The name is the chip you put out before the cards. We kept it because the subject is stakes, rules, and what is public. We did not keep it so we could operate a table. There is no wallet-connect-to-wager here, no live odds, no “play now,” no token.

What we cover

Fully onchain games versus blockchain-branded clients. Types of design that get sold as one category. VRF and RNG. The original meaning of “provably fair.” The play-to-earn collapse. The dual regime of game publishing and gambling law — as explainers, not as advice.

What we will not do

• Rank casinos, sportsbooks, or “best crypto games to earn.”
• Publish play-to-earn yield menus or 2026 earn lists.
• Target “web3 games” as a hype category.
• Encourage illegal gambling, or treat a hash as a license.

How an issue gets written

Each piece is a Markdown file in content/issues. The first cluster is six essays, published in a fixed order, so the hub can define terms the later issues use. New issues are new files. The archive is the record.

Ante is editorial, not an operator. We do not take bets, list casinos, or sell chips. If you gamble, set a limit first. Underage gambling is illegal.
